CAON®-KORWI® Insulators Passes in Rigorous IEC Standard Tests at EGU HV Laboratory

We are pleased to announce that our CAON®-KORWI® insulators have successfully completed two critical tests conducted at the Independent and Accredited EGU HV Laboratory a. s. in Prague, under IEC Standards.

✓  CHEMICAL RESISTANCE TEST _ LOAD/TIME ON THE CORE

(May 2-6, 2024) The cores of the CAON®-KORWI® insulators withstood a constant load of 86.5 kN for 96 hours in an acidic environment without showing any visual damage or fractures, in compliance with the requirements of IEC TR 62039 Cl. 4.8. The test was conducted in a laboratory accredited under the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard, demonstrating exceptional chemical resistance to a mechanical load greater than the one required by ENEL for this additional test requested by this company.

✓  TRACKING WHEEL TEST / DYNAMIC EROSION TEST

The insulators were subjected to 30.000 cycles of immersion in a saline solution, applying high voltage to replicate extreme conditions, in accordance with the methods described in IEC/TR 62730 Cl. 7.1, which outlines procedures to evaluate the resistance and erosion suffered by the insulators during this 64-day test. The results confirmed that no erosion paths were formed on the core, nor were there any cracks in the fins, coating, or interface, demonstrating the reliability of our insulators under severe operating conditions.

These tests ensure the quality and reliability of our products, showcasing EnverTec‘s commitment to meeting the most demanding standards.
