BULGARIA– Adaptation of Medium Voltage Electrical Networks

ENVERTEC S.L., in collaboration with its local partner, has been awarded a key project in Bulgaria to adapt 4,544 distribution poles (mooring and suspension types) using CAON-KORWI® Silicone Covers, designed to prevent avian electrocution while ensuring power network reliability.

This project is particularly crucial in Bulgaria, a country renowned for its rich biodiversity and natural heritage. Located in the Balkan region, Bulgaria is home to:

  • Three national parks, including the iconic Rila National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • Eleven natural parks and seventeen biosphere reserves, reflecting the country’s dedication to ecological preservation.
  • A remarkable diversity of bird species, including the critically important eastern imperial eagle and black vulture, both of which are globally protected and vital to the region’s ecological balance.

With 35% of Bulgaria’s territory covered by forests, the coexistence of electrical infrastructure and wildlife presents unique challenges.

ENVERTEC S.L. is proud to contribute innovative solutions to this pioneering initiative.
