ENVERTEC S.L. collaborates with GREFA in the project of monitoring of recovered specimens with GPS transmitters.

One of the objectives of a recovery centre is to rehabilitate animals in such a way that they are able to adapt to their natural environment. However, the viability of these animals is still unknown for a large number of species.

In recent years, GREFA has begun to develop experiments to monitor animals that raise doubts about their survival in the wild due to the severity of their injuries, ethological behaviour or other factors derived from captivity.

Analysis of rehabilitation methods and release techniques are necessary to improve the efficiency of a recovery centre. All these questions can be answered with GPS tracking techniques.
