Cover Model SPGC4 for Anchor Clamps up to GA-4 and Compression Clamps up to LA-380

Our new design of the SPGC4 cover, developped to be used on Anchor Clamps by bracket up to GA-4 and Compression Clamps up to LA-380 – in glass or polymer chains – has successfully passed tests for obtaining certification A30/000121, in accordance with AENOR Specification EA0058:2016 for use in networks of 66 / 72.5 kV.

Its shell-shaped opening, with 23 closure points using bolts (pre-installed in each device), allows for simple manual installation without the need for tools. It includes a small water-shedding feature on the top and has measures for moisture evacuation, such as the lower rectangular anti-nesting window. The SPGC4 cover incorporates two sections, one cylindrical and the other conical, which, through the use of silicone tapes and taking advantage of the material’s morphology, can be adjusted over the metallic joint area of the insulator on one side and over the conductor protector on the other. This configuration helps prevent water ingress and provides extra fastening to the covers for the SWP-type conductor, ensuring a fixation that prevents the latter from sliding over the cable.
