Update in Avian Protection: New AVIFAUNA PROTECTION CATALOG

ENVERTEC S.L., together with its agent in Nicaragua, has been awarded a recent contract to supply the National Electric Transmission Company (ENATREL). As part of this agreement, ENVERTEC will deliver over 25,000 units of CAON®-KORWI® Suspension, Tie, and Rigid Pin-type Polymeric Insulators.

ENATREL, as the entity responsible for the planning, development, and operation of the country’s electrical transmission network, plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of Nicaragua’s energy infrastructure. This collaboration with ENVERTEC aligns with ENATREL’s commitment to both improving the national grid and protecting the local wildlife, particularly bird species, from the risks associated with electrocution from power lines.

The insulators being delivered will serve a dual purpose: enhancing the structural integrity of the transmission network while also providing essential protection for birds, which is an increasing concern in countries with rich biodiversity like Nicaragua. This project marks an important step in the advancement of sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions for electrical transmission in the region.
