«ZERO EMISSIONS» OBJECTIVE IN TRANSPORT – DHL GOGREEN PROGRAM 2023

ENVERTEC is a pioneer in actively participating in DHL‘s GOGREEN program, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the international maritime transport of our goods.

In practice, during the first quarter of the program’s implementation, over 111 tons of ENVERTEC® products were transported, covering a distance of 140,000 km and reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 80%, thanks to the use of biofuels in the ships that carried them.

The Importance of Insetting and SAF

Compensation through GoGreen Plus allows companies to reduce Scope 3 emissions, which are the indirect greenhouse gas emissions produced in a company’s value chain, including transportation and distribution, due to the use of fossil fuels.

Unlike other compensation initiatives, insetting is recognized as a carbon reduction effort under the Science Based Target initiative, as the initiatives are designed to directly reduce emissions associated with a company’s operations.
