SUBTV100

DESIGN FEATURES:

The SUBTV100 protector [1] is a device designed to cover energized parts in substations found on connectors and vertical terminations in tubes up to Ø100 mm, and is suitable for use on voltages up to 36kV.

The SUBTV100 is manufactured from flame-retardant HTV silicone (Class V0) and hydrophobic Hc2 (self-cleaning) silicone, with a thickness of 3.5 mm, providing the dielectric strength required for substation use and long-lasting performance under demanding environmental conditions.

INSTALLATION:

Its design includes 12 bolt-type closing points (pre-installed on each device), allowing for quick installation with no tools required.

The SUBTV100 is installed by opening the device using the bolts, positioning it around the connector, and then closing it again.

Through its 2 cross-shaped side openings [2], the cover fits onto conductor tubes ranging from Ø40 mm to Ø100 mm, thanks to its design and the flexibility of the HTV silicone used in its construction.

 

ADVANTAGES:

Specific measures have been incorporated to prevent condensation and moisture accumulation through the use of a drainage-barb system [3], whose function is to allow water to escape and enable the cover’s self-cleaning, preventing both moisture buildup and the intrusion of small birds into the protector.

The inherent flexibility and nature of the material make it easy to adapt the device to the needs of each installation. Its double-cone PIN closing system allows for later inspections without causing damage to the SUBTV100.

The SUBTV100 can also be used for other non-dielectric purposes, such as protecting the most exposed parts of substation equipment from bird droppings.

Self-Vulcanizing Tape Included

The SUBTV100 protector model is supplied in recyclable cardboard packaging containing 3 units in RAL 3031 red. Each package includes information on the month and year of manufacture, batch number, as well as handling, storage, and recycling instructions.

The inside of the packaging includes a detailed Instruction Manual for the correct installation of the protector. A QR code is also provided, giving access to the installation video
