SWP-66

PROTECTORS CONDUCTOR COVER 72,5kV HV NETWORKS

References for the models in the set:

Once the SWP-66 liner has been cut to the desired length, it is installed on the conductor manually, without the need for tools and in a simple manner due to the nature of the silicone of which it is composed. Its tongue and groove design allows for a quick and secure installation and fastening of the profile over time.

The liner is fixed by the use of self-vulcanising silicone tape, used at one end to fix the liner to the conductor or clamp, and then applied to the surface of the SWP-66 liner at regular intervals of length ≤40cm and at the end end, as indicated in the relevant Instruction Manual.

Advantages:

  • The nature and flexibility of the Silicone used in its manufacture makes it possible for it to be a very easy to work with profile , easily adapting to the requirements of each installation. The ease and speed of cutting is another of its advantages.
  • This material also presents an exceptional response to the effects of snow and ice, due to its hydrophobic component – it repels the accumulation of water – , which mitigates the appearance of the phenomenon known as “ice sleeve”.
